After watching the F.A.T. City video clips it really opens up your eyes to the struggles that some students go through. Understanding how frustrating it can be for the students and having the perspective of being the teacher trying to help these students is a great tool for educators. It is easy to read about a disability and say you understand it but when you are the one that is struggling it is very humbling. I think that with out this perspective a teacher cannot be fully affective in the classroom.

The video clips were very eye opening. As a teacher you hear yourself in the comments that are made to the teachers. We don't appreciate that it really is hard for some students to do the things we ask. We don't provide the students with the guidance and training or teaching they need to complete the assignments. The video helps teachers to understand the struggles that students go through in the classroom. By experiencing some of the ways students struggle then teachers can understand how students feel. This can help teachers work with and help students in the classroom.

These clips and this video is one of my favorites because it really highlights the struggles that students go through. It causes us all to think about how we are providing information to our students.

These videos are excellent. They show the difficulties that students with related disabilities are having in completing tasks. The facilitator of the video as draws attention to the fact that we often assume things are easy and push children to corrct their individual issue with unqualified direction.

It seems that people sometimes have a hard time seeing things from another's perspective. These videos make it much easier to see what these students are going through. I love that there is a way to show this; it is definitely a tool I will be using in the future!
